Unveiling Ceremony of Residential School Survivors Monument

A memorial monument dedicated to the children who attended St. Paul’s Indian Residential School will be unveiled on Saturday, June 21, National Aboriginal Day beginning at noon. The monument is situated on the front lawn of the former Sisters of the Child Jesus convent at 524 West 6th Street, North Vancouver at 12:00 Noon. The boarding school was built in 1820 by the Squamish Nation for the education of their children on the site where St. Thomas Aquinas Regional High School is now located and over 600 names will be attached to this memorial.
