Emergency Collection for Syrian refugees

Archbishop Miller has approved an emergency collection at all Masses during the weekend of Oct. 3/4 for the Syrian refugees. All funds raised in the collection will be distributed among three Catholic agencies with operating programs assisting Syrian refugees in their countries of asylum: the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace, the Catholic Near East Welfare Association, and Aid to the Church in Need Canada. Funds raised will be matched by the federal government. If you would like to donate immediately to any of the organizations, visit rcav.org/prayer-and-humanitarian-appeal.
Special envelopes are in the pews this week-end to take home and bring back to Masses next weekend, October 3 & 4. Please fill out the information on the envelope and make cheques to “St. Stephen’s Parish” as all donations will be receipted by the Parish.
