GOOD FRIDAY – is a universal day of fast and abstinence. On those days you may not substitute acts of charity or piety in place of abstinence. The requirement to fast binds those from 18 to 59 years of age. Abstinence (no meat allowed) binds those 14 years old and up.

EASTER VIGIL——9 PM
The celebration of the Easter Vigil is the premier celebration of the Church liturgical calendar, hence everyone is encouraged to attend. It includes the blessing of the new fire; blessing of the Easter candle; the ceremony of light; the Easter Proclamation; the blessing of the Easter water; candidates for Baptism and/or candidates for Profession of Faith ; the renewal of our baptismal vows and the celebration of the Eucharist. Please note that the Easter Vigil is also an Easter Mass and those who participate need not attend again on Easter Sunday.
