Do you have the heart to sleep out for the homeless? Join us on Friday March 16 to raise awareness and funds for those experiencing homelessness. We will start with a mass at 7pm, followed by prayer and sharing to get to know and bond with each other. There will be an opportunity to learn more about Catholic Street Missionaries. The next morning, we will end with sharing our experiences at breakfast. http://rcav.org/event/sleep-out-2018
Who can join? Anyone 19 or above who is healthy enough to withstand sleeping outside for a night.
What if it’s raining? If it’s raining, we will open up a shelter for the night. (We may have to line up to get in.)
How to raise funds? Participants are encouraged to ask for pledges. For instructions on how to make a pledge, visit http://catholicstreetmissionaries.org/events and scroll down to “How to make a Pledge for SLEEP OUT 2018?”
This will help us to continue our mission. However, it is not compulsory.
What to bring? Sleeping bag suitable for the weather, blankets, warm clothing and cardboards. (Limited cardboards will be available.) Tents, mattresses and pillows may NOT be used.
