During the Lenten season, we celebrate the great Solemnity of St. Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Last year, Pope Francis invited the Church to celebrate this powerful saint and we thank God for the many ways in which we have grown in love and devotion to him. As we continue to celebrate the Year of the Family, and during this Lenten season, let us join in prayer and commit ourselves to grow closer to Christ and His Church, following in the footsteps of St. Joseph.
St. Joseph’s NOVENA begins on March 9, leading up to March 19, for our Saint’s Feast Day. Our novena will focus on the titles of St. Joseph as indicated in the Litany of St. Joseph and will conclude with the prayer of the Litany on March 19. For those who choose to sign up at the RCAV website, you will receive an email with a daily challenge, as well as a short video reflection from a devotee who faithfully strives to imitate St. Joseph in their own life journey.
