The KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS— (St. Stephen’s and Holy Trinity Councils) will hold a Marian Prayer service to honour the traveling Icon of the Immaculate Conception at Holy Trinity Church. The Icon will be placed on the altar from January 29 until February 4th. All are welcome to attend the family devotion on Wednesday, February 4th at 7 pm to give thanks for the many times she has interceded for us.

CHRISTMAS CAKES & CARDS—The Knights of Columbus will sell Christmas cakes and cards again this year to support Pro-Life. Order forms for the cakes were included in the bulletin recently. Please fill up the form if you wish to order and give to the Knights outside the church after weekend Masses. Payment can be made on delivery of the cakes. OKTOBERFEST—SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18-The Knights of Columbus invite you to our autumn Dinner Dance. Great Bavarian dinner, Silent Auction and plenty of Polka! This is a fundraiser for a project in Uganda. A Catholic Parish is in need of help to install a pipeline to their Shalom Medical Centre. The Knights are hoping to raise $ 7000 towards this cause. Any donation will be receipted. Please come out for a great night to support this venture. Tickets are $ 25 and will be sold after week-end Masses, starting September 13 & 14. CANADA DAY PARADE -The Knights of Columbus are extending their invitation to all parishioners, their families and friends to join them in this year’s Canada Day Parade (July 1) again. The Parade starts at the tennis courts at 13th and Grand Boulevard. Gathering begins at 9:00 am and the March starts at 10:00 o’clock. An information tent will be set up to direct each group to their stations. All are welcome.

The travelling Icon of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception will be displayed on the altar during the service at Holy Trinity Church, Wednesday, March 19th at 7 pm (Feast of St. Joseph). This will be followed by the evening Mass. This is a great way to thank Our Lady for all the many blessings we have received through her help. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS -FIRST NOTICE OF OUR SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL -“SCRAP METAL DRIVE” to be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Holy Trinity’s Parking Lot from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and at St. Stephen’s Parking Lot from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Soon you will be doing Spring Cleaning. Save all metals to donate, i.e. Copper, Brass, Stainless Steel, Lead, Aluminum, Tin, Copper Wire, Valued Metals, Toonies, Loonies, Pennies, (no appliances or computers). With the proviso that we are able to lift the metal objects by human strength and it will fit in a pick up truck. This event is being sponsored as a charity fund raiser by the Knights of Columbus. The annual Knights of Columbus St. Valentine Dinner Dance will be held at St. Stephen’s church hall, 1360 East 24th Street, North Vancouver on Saturday, February 15. Have your date at the comfort of your own Parish, with ample parking and no line up!
Smooth dancing music will once again, be provided by Greg Hampson, who did a great job at our previous event. Delicious roast beef with all the trimmings!! Bring your adult family and friends! Refreshments are available for purchase. Its going to be wholesome and fun!
