The St Vincent de Paul Society is an international Roman Catholic voluntary organization dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage by providing direct practical assistance to anyone in need.
Through the generosity of the parishioners of St. Stephen’s Parish, many of the poor in our neighborhood are assisted. The group is not just about providing financial support, but spiritual as well.
Our council at St. Stephen’s has 6 members and we meet 3 to 4 times a year. Our box at the back of the church receives an average of $5 to $ 10.00 a week. Every November, we have an annual collection which is a huge means of income for our society. The parishioners of St. Stephen’s are extremely generous, which enables us to help many families and parishioners at Christmas.
We are always in contact on a regular basis with those in our parish who may need some assistance. For further information contact Rose Morin – 604-985-9674. Come and help us help others.
